Editorial Projects
Welcome to my Editorial Projects page. Below you can find examples of my experience editing a variety of different materials, from creative writing pieces to technical documents, demonstrating my adaptability and thorough knowledge of editing principles. In each project, I begin by analyzing the type of document, its rhetorical situation, and its potential audience. This allows me to accurately judge the amount of substantive and copy editing as well as any design or formatting changes that need to be completed. In particular, I focus on what edits and queries will help both the author and users the most.
Along with standard editing, I pay special attention to uplifting diverse voices and acting as a sensitivity reader for any type of document I’m given. The media we consume always has an impact on our world, so it’s important as an editor to ensure the document has a positive, informative impact. You can read more about my editorial values in the statement below. Otherwise, enjoy exploring my editorial projects!
